NAMING CEREMONIES

A naming ceremony is a beautiful way to welcome a child into their family and wider community. It is a non-religious, personalised ceremony that celebrates new life, love, and the hopes you hold for your child’s future.

As your Celebrant, I work with you to create a ceremony that feels meaningful, relaxed, and truly reflective of your family. Together we can include the elements that matter most to you — the story behind your child’s name, words of commitment from parents, promises from guide-parents or special supporters, readings, music, and contributions from family and friends.

Naming ceremonies can be as intimate or as inclusive as you wish, held at home, in a garden, at the beach, or any place that feels right for you. My role is to gently guide you through the process, offer ideas and suggestions, and ensure the ceremony flows smoothly on the day so you can be fully present and enjoy the moment.

Above all, a naming ceremony is a joyful occasion — a chance to gather the people who will love and support your child throughout their life, and to mark this special beginning in a way that is uniquely yours.
